Aluminum oxide abrasive filament is PA612 nylon loaded with tough grains that wear slowly and evenly for stable, long-life cutting.
GrindX™ aluminum oxide abrasive filament embeds aluminum oxide grains into a PA612 nylon strand. Compared with silicon carbide, the grains are tougher: instead of fracturing quickly into new edges, they hold their shape and grind steadily.
That behaviour is exactly what finishing work needs. The brush keeps the same cutting character from the first hour to the last, so surface quality stays consistent across long production runs without frequent brush changes.
MatrixPA612 nylon: stiff, low moisture absorption, holds grains firmly through the strand's life.
AbrasiveTough aluminum oxide grains resist fracturing and wear evenly instead of breaking down fast.
Working principleSlow, even wear keeps cutting performance stable across long production runs.
Where it shines
Aluminum oxide filament is the standard choice for surface finishing, edge radiusing, light deburring and cleaning on steel, stainless steel and other tough metals, as well as wood and painted surfaces. It is also the most cost-effective option for general-purpose brushing.
